| Abstract | The 30-year history of Clinical Psychology as a specialized profession in Hong Kong is traced. Five aspects of the profession are discussed in the historical perspective: education and training, tools and techniques, economics of the profession, role of professional organizations, and development of the profession itself. Clinical Psychology has come of age; it has grown in terms of size, professionalism, and public recognition. The major concerns which need to be addressed in relations to short-term and long-term development of the profession are highlighted. |
