Abstract | Over the last fifty years in Hong Kong, Psychology as a profession has shown considerable growth and development in step with similar establishments elsewhere, both academic and applied. Contrary to the experiences elsewhere, the psychological services have focussed on the social and allied services and their clientals, Psychology as a science has been but litte affected as yet of being placed between the Chinese and Western cultures but, arising from the needs of the services, fundamental questions are beginning to be asked, giving rise to great hopes for the morrow. |
