| Abstract | The Shanghai Cable Television (CATV) network today is a mixed network composed of optic-fiber and coax cables, similar to the cable television networks in the developed countries. It is operated jointly by the Shanghai Posts and Telecommunications Administration (PTA) and Shanghai Broadcasting and Television Authority (BTA). The present configuration and development of this state-of-the-art network are introduced in this paper. |
