| Abstract | Shanghai has already achieved great success in building her CATV optic fibre network. Till late November 1994, Shanghai has set up her own CATV network. The network will be used as a network for telephone, video-on-demand and high speed data transmission apart from transmitting the wired television signals. It will lay a solid foundation for the promotion of ISDN. With the economic growth and the telecommunications advances as well as the technological progress daily, the CATV optic fibre network based on public network will definitely become perfect. |
