| Abstract | China has possessed more than 50,000 TVRO (TV receive only) earth stations and several thousands of VSAT user terminals. It can be said, based on 20 years practice, continuous exploration and development, China's SATCOM has reached a basic scale. From now to the year 2000, China's SATCOM will enter onto a new developing stage. Therefore, for the time being, comprehensively and scientifically understand the characters, role, developing tendency and application conditions of the SATCOM is the key point for future SATCOM development. |
