| Abstract | The UNICOM Satellite Communications Company signed a contract with the Asia-Pacific Communications Satellite Company on the leasing of 36 mega hertz transponders aboard the Asia-Pacific No.1A Satellite. The transponders along with the previously leased transponders aboard the Asia-Pacific No.1 Satellite marked the beginning of construction of UNICOM's SATCOM network. |
