| Abstract | A special Satcom network for China's civil aviation was put into operation on April 29, 1996. The network is instrumental in overcoming the difficulties in land communications as experienced by China's air traffic control system. Control center of the network has multiple stand-by equipment in different places with network control stations in Beijing and Guangzhou serving as mutual stand-by. |
