| Abstract | The Beijing International SATCOM Earth Station (BIS) under the Beijing Wireless Telecom Office had undergone rapid expansion in the Eighth Five-Year Plan period (1991-1995). In 1996, it is not only the largest gateway for China's international satellite communications but also one of the few largest earth stations of the world. To speed up the development of international satellite communications, the Beijing Wireless Telecom Office will expand BIS in the Ninth Five-Year Plan period (1996-2000). |
