| Abstract | Southeast Asian economies continue to suffer from basic structural weaknesses, only major structural reform can easily restore investor's confidence over the long term. These reforms may be: greater business transparency, proper bankruptcy laws, honest and effective judicial systems. The relationship between the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and the big powers neighbours like China, the United States (US) and Japan, is discussed in the article. |
