AbstractThe article is to explore with science educators the use of the modular approach in curriculum organization. One of the task of the Curriculum Development Institute is to conduct a feasibility study on the introduction of the modular curriculum. The article will begin with the definitions and origins of the modular approach. Finally, the possibilities of using the modular approach in organizing the science curriculum will be discussed. Is the modular approach suitable for the science curriculum? Is modular approach suitable for Hong Kong? The article is not to provide the answers to these questions but to put the modular approach on the discussion agenda of science educators.
