| Abstract | In order to meet the housing needs of the growing elderly population, the existing housing provision should be expanded and Elderly Housing Estates (EHEs) for lower middle income and sandwich class households should be built. It is much more beneficial to both the elderly residents and the Hong Kong government if the EHEs are located in the Pearl River Delta Region (PRDR). The article features some advantages for developing EHEs in the PRDR. It also gives suggestions on the development of EHEs. |
