| Abstract | Optical cables for communications have seen rapid development in the past couple of decades because of their many apparent advantages over metallic cables. As of 1994 the optic-fiber transmission has become an important independent branch of telecommunications technology. The article presents a brief account of the production of such cables in China with analysis of the development trend in the hope of offering certain reference data for the production and marketing of such cables. |
