| Abstract | In 1995 China exported over eight billion items of clothing and accessories worth US$24 billion, making China the world's biggest garment exporting country. In a recent conference attended by managers from 16 major garment plants with autonomous export rights, managers and executives discussed the problems confronting their export activities and offered suggestions for improving the quota allocation system, which had prompted the most heated debate. |
