Abstract | During the first few months of 1995, the call to limit imports of textiles into Japan has become louder. Five main categories are aimed at - cotton yarn, cotton fabrics, towels, wollen knitwear and other knitted clothing. On 21 November 1994, the Japanese Ministry of International Trade & Industry issued a new directive entitled Control of Textile Import Procedures which cites articles from the MFA in justification and declared that the control would take effect from the fifth of December then. |
