AbstractMuch of the undergraduate syllabus in Hong Kong is relevant to general practice. General practitioners can contribute a lot in teaching medical students and can receive constructive feedback from the students. The interview process is often enhanced by the presence of the student. The costs involved in teaching are usually minimal, though considerable commitment is needed. The greatest joy is to give students an insight into general practice, which they can apply in other specialties.
