| Abstract | For the few years before 1994, the rapid development of the local telephone in Shanghai has significantly increased the telephone density of the city. Data communications in Shanghai has also begun to develop, and in particular, the EDI (electronic data interchange) service is urgently required by banks and customs. In addition, the connection of the E-mail network with that of the international network is actively implementing and the IC card is followed by many people with enthusiastic interest. For the time being, departments concerned are making efforts to expand the facsimile communications service, and develop the image communications, digital TV and high definition TV (HDTV). This paper aims to estimate the tendency to develop the facsmile, image and TV communications technologies and services in order to facilitate international exchange and cooperation. |
