With efforts devoted to the development of five mobile phone networks and expansion of the capacity of both analog and digital mobile phone systems, it is expected that the capacity of mobile phone networks in the city will reach a level to accommodate 950,000 subscribers by the end of 1997, fulfilling three years ahead of schedule the target of one million subscribers set for the end of the Ninth Five-Year Plan period (1996-2000). |
