| Abstract | With a late start-up, development of Internet in China can be viewed in two stages. 1986-1994 was a stage in which some educational and scientific research institutes in China established E-mail connection with their overseas counterparts. Large-scale data banks equipped with multi-media technology capable of providing services via Internet are still few in number at present. However, a national economy based on information will become the powerful driving force to spur the development of Internet online service in China. IT technology involving Internet and Intranet will be given greater attention by enterprises. |
