| Abstract | The first-phase project of the national emergency VSAT satellite communications network sponsored by PT department passed recently initial examination in Shanghai and was put into trial operation. The VSAT network based on voice communications has added strength to China's emergency communications. At present, second-phase construction of the PT national emergency satellite communications network has been launched and by the first half of 1997 capacity of the network in 19 provinces will be expanded. |
