Abstract | In addition to the traditional emphasis on students' academic results, their performance in extra-curricular activities and improvement in the school's physical environment and facilities, the overall assessment of a school also takes into consideration such factors as the evaluation of teachers, school ethos and parents' participation. In order to examine how a school conducts such an assessment and to gain experience in the process, the authors have conducted a special interview with Mr. Wu Kau-kan, Principal of Caritas Chan Chun Ha Prevocational School, Yuen Long. During the hour-long interview, the two vice-principals, Mr. Kwok and Mr. Chan, also shared with them their valuable experience. This article is a gist of the main points of their conversation. |
