| Abstract | A report released by a group of experts in mid-July indicates that cotton production will decline this year. Cotton production has shown a typical up and down cycle since 1985. During this period two fluctuating cycles have occurred, each lasting from four to five years. The first cycle appeared in 1986-89, and the second in 1989-93. The third will extend to 1996 or even 1997. |
