| Abstract | Not long after announcing the rise in tuition fees, the Government has triggered off yet another heated debate by releasing the proposals put forward by external consultants on a revised financial assistance scheme for university students. Under the new scheme, all university students can apply for government loans, but they will face a rate of 5.8 to 8.5 per cent interest a year, compared with the existing 2.5 per cent. |
