| Abstract | The Guangdong Northern Telecom Switching System Equipment Company signed on 20 August 1996 a contract with a consortium composed of 15 overseas banks. Under the contract, the Guangdong Northern Telecom will be granted US$300 million worth of syndicated loans. It is learned that the loans is the largest one in recent years granted to a joint venture in China. |
