| Abstract | There are said to be 1,089 fabric printing and dyeing plants in China, including rural enterprises engaged in such work, with a combined output value of 27.1 billion Yuan at 1990 prices. However, when garment factories require fashion fabrics from printing or dyeing plants, only traditional types of goods are available. Furthermore, production facilities in most state-run fabric printing and dyeing plants are extremely backward, capable only of producing low or medium grade items. |
