| Abstract | China has four major cashmere knitwear production bases and produces some 5,000 tonnes of raw cashmere wool yearly, over half the world's total, but from a need to generate foreign exchange, many cashmere producing provinces export this material to England, Italy, Japan and elsewhere; consequently the four cashmere knitwear centres suffer from shortage of raw material. |
