| Abstract | Poverty is the deprivation of basic needs. It is also very much a relative term, a label, a stigma, if you like, imposed by the person, on others or on oneself, who is making a comparison between different levels of income, consumption, needs, sense of security and fulfilment. In this article, the author suggests how we should respond to assist poverty-stricken families and children who are being affected. |
