| Abstract | Gential ulcer accounts for 5 to 10% of newly diagnosed sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) in the Social Hygiene annual statistical returns in Hong Kong. Gential ulcer is a cofactor for acquiring Human Immunodeficiency Viral (HIV) infection and its cause is multiple, from STDs to non STDs. The common cause of STD related gential ulcer are discussed: Syphilis, Herpes, Genitalis, Chancroid, Donovanosis, (Granuloma Inguinale), Lymphogranuloma Venereum (LGV). |
