| Abstract | A prudent environmental protection policy involves the weighing of its benefits against its costs. Industry is of the view that environmental protection is a common concern to the whole community. An effective green policy should aim to minimise pollution at source and to induce voluntary self-restraint on the part of the polluter. In line with the general view, industry reckons that the quality of our environment must not be left neglected any longer. It is ready to do its part and play a more active role in this formidable task. |
