| Abstract | The Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (the Ordinance), which has far-reaching implications for organisations that collect and use personal data, came into effect on 20 December 1996. Mr Robin McLeish, the Deputy Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data, was invited to give a presentation to the members of the Financial Services Interest Group of the Hong Kong Society of Accountants on how this Ordinance will impact the financial services sector. |
