| Abstract | Hong Kong's political uncertainty have caused some employers and employees to shun retirement schemes. The time has come for us to provide Hong Kong residents with adequate income for a dignified old age. A centrally administered, dependable pension scheme with government's commitment and improvements made in the OAP will together offer a safety net for the elderly whose plight has been ignored for so long. |
