| Abstract | Since nurses in Taiwan realized that there was an increasing need in the society to provide professional home health care, they launched a series of strategic actions to initiate home health care program and make home health care services as an integral part of the health care delivery system in Taiwan. The article is a paper presented in the international conference on The Nurse As A Caring Scholar: The New Wave, held in Beijing, China on 18-21 November 1999. The first part of the article is on the efforts in striving to establish home health care services for the people in Taiwan. As to the second part, the issue to be covered is how the home health care services being paid by national health insurance program since 1995. And the third part will be the author's short conclusion for the presentation. |
