| Abstract | Activities by De Beers' Diamond Promotion Service (DPS) in Indonesia, Malaysia and the Philippines will be suspended in 1999 due to the countries' lingering economic slow-down. Loren Shuster, marketing director for Hong Kong, China and Philippines of the consumer marketing division at De Beers in Hong Kong, said that the company will continue to support and liaison with the trade in the countries through the offices of DPS in Hong Kong and Singapore. |
