| Abstract | Cranes are widely used for lifting operations in the construction industry in Hong Kong. Statistics show that cranes cause a lot of serious accidents. Property damage and bodily injuries can be avoided if cranes are properly used. For this reason, a code of practice for safe use of mobile cranes and tower cranes was published by the Occupational Branch of Labour Department in March 1998. |
