| Abstract | In the latest Hong Kong Port Cargo Forecasts 1997/98, total container throughput for busy port will amount to 24 mn TEU in 2006 and 33 mn TEU in 2016. These translate into an average annual growth rate of 6 percent and 3.1 percent respectively during the first and second decades of the planning period, up from 14.58 mn TEU in 1997. |
