Is Part OfTextile Asia : the Asian textile & apparel monthly ; v.28, no.4, Apr 1997, p.83, illus.
AbstractThe article reports that despite falling wool prices on the world market, China's wool imports will remain below the level of a few years ago and are likely to remain so, says a trade official. Imports will increase slightly in 1997 thanks to China's economic growth, but will be well below the former average of 240,000-250,000 t a year imported primarily from Austrailia, New Zealand, Uruguay and Argentina. The article features the factors leading to the decline of China's wool imports.
