Abstract | The business of Hong Kong Air Cargo Terminals is untpyical in many ways; more constrained, more logistically demanding, more profitable. The former HACTL building at Kai Tak was impressive enough but the latest edition at Chek Lap Kok promises no less, having been designed by Foster and Partners. Projects such as Modern Art Glass and the Renault distribution centre took the language of industrial construction, re-ordered the design priorities, raised the quality and accorded constructional detail fetishistic importance. |
