| Abstract | In 1993 the Hong Kong Examinations Authority (HKEA) announced changes in the question setting and marking of 22 subjects. Starting from the 1995 Hong Kong Certificate of Education (HKCE) Examination, for subjects including Physics, marks would be awarded for using language skillfully. The guidelines for awarding the effective communication mark are reprinted in the article for the reference of teachers. Examples of candidates' marked answers with the Examiner's comments are also given. The examiner's report is featured in the article. |
