| Abstract | The article presents an historical outline of the contributions to teacher education by the University of Hong Kong (HKU). Historical outlines presented in the article, differ in significant ways from chronicles and scrapbooks. These include a concern for periodization and attempts to categorize events, as well as to identify both their causes and their consequences. The historical outline that follows focuses on purposes and processes, structures and curricula. It seeks answers about students, staff, courses, strengths and weaknesses. |
