| Abstract | In 1996, the Xiamen city government included the project to build the Xiamen Information Port in the "Ninth Five-Year" Plan and the Year 2010 Long-term Goal for National Economic and Social Development at the city's fourth meeting of the tenth People's Congress. In the Ninth-Five-Year-Plan period, the city expects to see the interconnection among public transmission networks and itself rising to the position of a major information hub in Southeastern China. According to an official of Xiamen's Infoport Office, networks of various kinds are taking shape at present. The article features the networks development of Xiamen, as major networks get extended to Xiamen, more social service management systems going online, together with progress fo Golden projects. |
