| Abstract | In the beginning of 1998, the Land Development Corporation (LDC) unveiled a massive urban renewal programme involving 26 projects in 10 districts in Hong Kong. The programme accords with the policy address of the Special Administrative Region (SAR) Chief Executive, Mr Tung Chee-hwa, that the pace of urban renewal has to be accelerated. The article introduces the programme as well as its objective. |
