| Abstract | In 1995, the Hong Kong Article Numbering Association (HKANA) pioneered a feasibility study to promote Supply Chain Management (SCM) in Hong Kong. The study, conducted by The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, revealed a clear interest from the HKANA members and industry executives to promote SCM, to eventually collect its many unparalleled benefits for the ultimate benefits of consumers in Hong Kong and to maintain Hong Kong's competitiveness in the global marketplace. |
