| Abstract | The renin angiotensin system (RAS) is fundamental to salt and water homeostasis. RAS gene polymorphisms have been implicated in the pathogenesis of coronary artery disease (CAD). However, little is known of these associations in Chinese despite ethnicity affecting hypertension and CAD. This is the abstract of a related study on an unselected populations of Chinese from Hong Kong and Guangdong Province in the South of the People's Republic of China. |
