Abstract | Gender is not an issue in Asia's advertising industry, according to respondents in the latest ABN-MEDIA Asian Advertising Industry Poll. The majority of respondents, 78.2 per cent, said that there is no such "glass ceiling", suggesting that women in advertising are judged equally with men in terms of talent, ability, initiative and management skills. Overall, Hong Kong was thought to provide the best prospects for equal opportunities, with 48.6 per cent of the vote. Singapore, Australia, Thailand and Malaysia are also mentioned in this article. |
