| Abstract | The new airport at Chek Lap Kok will have one of the world's most modern and capable airfields. The airport will open in April 1998 with one runway and a capacity of 35 million passengers and up to three million tonnes of cargo a year. This will increase rapidly with the completion of the northern runway by the end of 1998. |
