| Abstract | The signing of an agreement by the British and Chinese sides of the Airport Committee of the Sino-British Joint Liaison Group to allow early development of a second runway and associated facilities at Hong Kong's new airport is a boost for the territory, said the Airport Authority's Chairman, Mr Wong Po-yan. He also said that the Authority would now move ahead quickly with the work needed to develop the second runway and complete the northwest concourse of the passenger terminal building as quickly and cost-effectively as possible. |
