| Abstract | The Hong Kong Arts Development Council (HKADC) is committed to a policy of public arts education. Funded by General Support Grants, the six performing arts companies - Hong Kong Ballet, City Contemporary Dance Company (CCDC), Chung Ying Theatre Company, Hong Kong Sinfonietta, Hong Kong Arts Festival Society and Exploration Theatre - aim to reach a wide audience across Hong Kong. All pursue public arts programmes, with a varied agenda of outreach education. Their live performances, displays and workshops are aimed at maximising the contact between art and audience, taking art beyond the boundaries of centrally located, high-profile venues. |
