| Abstract | January 1996 saw the launching of the large scale project "Promotion of Chinese Opera in Secondary Schools", subvented by Hong Kong Arts Development Council (HKADC) and organised by the House of Cantonese Opera. This six-month project aims at organising various courses and demonstration lectures for teachers and students in secondary schools. It is one of the first projects supported as part of HKADC's 5-Year Plan and it is a pledge of HKADC's commitment to promoting both traditional performing arts and arts education. |
