| Abstract | Since the transition from PDH to SDH has been started in China, all the P&T administrations throughout the country are improving their network planning and make SDH receive priority over PHD. This situation will pose great challenges on SDH equipment. For this reason domestically produced products should meet certain requirements as stated in this article. The design of SDH series products is based on China national standards and telecommunication industrial standards as well as ITU-T Recommendations. The essential performances are tabulated in the article. The article also describes the new look in the China telecommunications construction, resulting from the SDH series equipment. |
