| Abstract | It is known to all that the SDH (synchronous digital hierarchy) of the fibre optic transmission system has many more advantages in providing wideband, large capacity and in ensuring flexible control than other systems, therefore, in recent years, the fibre optic system has become the primary selection in establishing a telecom network. The currently notable information superhighway takes the fibre optic system (FOS) as its backbone as well. In view of this, people cannot help thinking of the digital microwave communications development. In this article, the author introduces the features and the applicable conditions of the digital microwave system (DMS). The current situation of China's microwave communications and its development prospect are also depicted. |
