| Abstract | The Three Gorges Key Water Control Project (TGWP) on the Yangtze River is a huge undertaking which will provide such comprehensive benefits as flood-control, electricity generation and shipping. Large amounts of information have to be exchanged and transmitted in a timely fashion through various telecommunications services. The China Yangtze River Three Gorges Project Development Corporation (CTGPC) therefore decided in 1992 to build a digital microwave link between the Three Gorges (TG) and the Gezhouba Dam. |
